Created by David E. Kelley from the 1987 namesake book by Scott Turow, Presumed Innocent is a legal thriller series streaming on Apple TV Plus. The plot revolves around prosecutor Rozat “Rusty” Sabich as he tries to prove his innocence of the murder of Carolyn Polhemus, his colleague and secret lover. Previously, Alan J. Pakula directed a cinematic adaptation of Presumed Innocent, which came out in 1990 and stars Harrison Ford as Rusty. The first season debuted on June 12, 2024. Is there a Presumed Innocent Season 2 release date?
There does not seem to be a Presumed Innocent Season 2 release date as the series was developed as a limited series.
Apple officially designates Presumed Innocent as a limited series, so a second season is unlikely. However, Turow’s book is part of the Kindle County Legal Thriller series, which has 12 entries as of June 2024. Most of these books follow minor characters from Presumed Innocent.
Additionally, in 2010, Turow published Innocent, a direct sequel to Presumed Innocent. Set 22 years after the death of Carolyn Polhemus, Innocent once again pits Rusty against Tommy Molto. Innocent was adapted into a 2011 telefilm starring Bill Pullman as Rusty. The Burden of Proof, the second entry in the Kindle County Legal Thriller Series, was turned into a miniseries in 1992. So, if Apple and the producers want, they can continue developing future projects set in the same world as Presumed Innocent.

Why Presumed Innocent Season 2 might not be happening
