Tower of God is a South Korean manhwa series by S.I.U. Naver Webtoon began publishing the series as a webtoon in June 2010. Line Webtoon began publishing the series in English in July 2014. The first season of the anime adaptation premiered in April 2020, with Telecom Animation Film producing. The Answer Studio is producing the second season, which began airing in July 2024.
Takashi Sano (Rick and Morty: The Anime) directed the first season. For the second season, Kazuyoshi Takeuchi (Golgo 13) is the chief director, while Kei Suzuki is the director. Erika Yoshida (Bocchi the Rock!) is handling the series composition for both seasons. Meanwhile, Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss) also composes the music for seasons 1 and 2.
