The workplace romance Chinese drama As Beautiful as You, featuring Xu Kai and Tan Songyun in the lead roles, released episode 22 on July 15, 2024. As seen in the official trailer, Ji Xing (Tan Songyun) resigns from her job on a whim to pursue her dream of starting her own business. Episode 22 focuses on Ji Xing finding out about Qiuzi and Yichen’s relationship.
In this episode, Ji Xing and her employees attend a company meeting, where she announces that Xingchen Technology is about to change its original strategy. Instead, they will specialize in printing 3D skeletons. Ji Xing decides to focus on their own goals instead of trying to keep up with other companies. Furthermore, they should reduce costs and increase the quality of their products.
Meanwhile. Han Ting (Xu Kai) visits her after returning to China. He is happy to see Ji Xing’s self-assured and radiant smile. Ji Xing confidently tells him about her company’s newest strategy. Her proposal met with a positive response from Han Ting. He reveals that even he has had an idea to venture down this path.

Then viewers see Han Ting staying awake and sitting patiently in front of his phone. His eyes are glued to his screen as he wants to wish Ji Xing at exactly 12 a.m. Ji Xing wakes up the next morning to a gush of birthday messages from friends and family.
Further into the episode, Han Ting meets up with his grandfather, who advises him to practice calligraphy to calm his mind. His cousin is also present there, and the duo gets into a minor argument when the latter mentions the recent loss his company faced. After she leaves, Mr. Han advises Han Ting to not let love come between him and his family affairs. He reveals that he has his eyes on Zeng Di as Han Ting’s ideal partner. But Han Ting completely repudiates the subject.
Tan Songyun learns that her friend is dating her ex-boyfriend
Ji Xing’s best friends arrange a small birthday party for her. When Li Li and Xiaomeng arrive at the party venue, they are surprised to see Qiuzi getting out of Yichen’s car. Things get even more odd as the two share a loving embrace. Li Li and Xiaomeng, without wasting any time, confront Qiuzi. They call her shameless for dating her best friend’s ex-boyfriend.
But Qiuzi seems to have no regrets. She proudly announces that she is in love with Yichen. To save her from further embarrassment, Yichen takes the blame and lies, saying that it was he who came on to Qiuzi. Ji Xing sees everything from afar.
Ji Xing tries to hide her feelings and pretend to enjoy the party for the sake of her friends. But she breaks down at some point. She reveals she has no grudge against Qiuzi, as she is single and can date whomever she wants. She is hurt because Qiuzi decided to hide it from her. Heartbroken, she leaves the gathering early.

When Han Ting hears about the whole situation, he leaves everything behind and picks her up. He takes her to his apartment to celebrate her birthday together. They drink together and play a game of hide-and-seek. Seeing Han Ting’s thoughtful gift, Ji Xing realizes how much he cares for her. She gets drunk, and one thing leads to another. They end up spending an intimate night together.
