This reveals that Homelander is indeed vulnerable to injuries, despite his immense strength, speed, and reflexes. Moreover, it also reinforces the notion that Homelander is simply a human who is enjoying the enhancements and powers due to Compound V.
However, it remains to be seen whether the TV show version of Homelander has a weakness against nuclear energy. This is because towards the end of Season 1, Madelyn Stillwell revealed to Butcher that there was nothing on earth that could kill him.
Can Victoria Neuman kill Homelander?

This would allow him to detect Neuman and quickly finish her off before she tries to kill him. Two, due to being artificially created by Vought, Homelander likely has a blood composition different from regular humans or maybe other Supes.
Thus, Neuman, who has demonstrated a capability of killing normal humans by manipulating the blood in their system and popping their heads off, would have a hard time killing Homelander due to his different blood composition.
