How Old Is Yoda In The Acolyte?

The Acolyte Season 1‘s final episode featured a short cameo appearance from Yoda. Yoda’s appearance has led Star Wars fans to wonder about his age in the series and how old he was during The Acolyte’s period.

So how old is Yoda in Star Wars: The Acolyte? What is Yoda’s age? How old was he in every Star Wars movie? Here are your answers.

What is Yoda’s age in Star Wars: The Acolyte?

Yoda is 764 years old in The Acolyte.

This is because The Acolyte takes place in 132 BBY. This is 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace, which takes place in 32 BBY, and where Yoda is said to be 864 years old. Yoda was born in the year 896 BBY.

How old was Yoda in every Star Wars movie?

As mentioned above, Yoda was 864 in The Phantom Menace.

Hence, in Attack of the Clones which is set 10 years after The Phantom Menace in 22 BBY, he would be 874. After that in Revenge of the Sith, which is three years after Attack of the Clones in 19 BBY, he would be 877.

Then in A New Hope, which is 19 years after Revenge of the Sith in 0 BBY, Yoda would be 896. Following that, in The Empire Strikes Back, which is three years after A New Hope in 3 ABY, he would be 899. Finally, in Return of the Jedi, which is one year after The Empire Strikes Back in 4 ABY, he would be 900 years old. Yoda, explicitly reveals to Luke Skywalker that he is 900 at the time of his death.

Given that he retained his identity after death and became a force ghost, we can determine how old he was during the sequel trilogy. In both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, which is 30 years after Return of the Jedi in 34 ABY, he would be 930. Finally, in The Rise of Skywalker he would be 931 years old. This is because that film takes place a year after The Last Jedi in 35 ABY.
