In the previous episode, Kang Hu-Yeong (Jong-Hyeop) bumped into Lee Hong-Ju (So-Hyun) after ten years. In the end, he decided to pursue her this time.

Serendipity’s Embrace episode 2 begins with Hong-Ju recalling the last night in the morning. She explains to her best friend, Hye-Ji, that she met Jun-Ho, and things got awkward the other day.

Further, Hong-Ju expresses her frustration about Hu-Yeong’s rejection of Hye-Ji’s proposal in high school. On the other hand, Hu-Yeong learns that his uncle Baek Wook is close to Hong-Ju, who lives in the same building. He seeks the elder’s help to get closer to her.

When he opens the door, she is shocked to see his high school classmate instead of a little girl. Reluctantly, she agrees to keep her promise and hangs out with him. They arrive at a kid-friendly festival because it was Hong-Ju’s initial plan when she thought she would go out with a child. However, the two have fun together, riding rollercoasters and taking pictures. Despite the enjoyment, Hong-Ju keeps calling Hye-Ji as she knows that her friend has a crush on Hu-Yeong. But fate has different plans.
