Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris confirmed her engagement to Justin ‘Blue’ Long via an Instagram post that celebrated her fiancé’s birthday. The post has a series of pictures showing them in intimate poses.
One of these pictures is that of the proposal itself. Jackson sported a brown sweater, blue-denim shorts, and boots, and was seen holding a scarf. Meanwhile, Long wore a white untucked formal shirt, black formal pants, and black formal shoes.
“Happy birthday my sweet blue,” she wrote. “Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and i couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. thank you for letting me be yours. i love you.”
Jackson and Long were reportedly first linked in 2022. This was after he was featured in one of her social media posts which also had her bandmates Michael O’Grady, Nick Diiorio, and Ryan Rice.
Long is a graduate of Indiana’s Grace College and Seminary, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Marketing, and Business Administration, according to his LinkedIn profile. Since 2005, he has served as a producer, songwriter, engineer, and mixer for Trust in Justin Productions. He has also worked as a studio manager for Barefoot Recording, where he worked with artists like 5 Seconds of Summer, The Wombats, Nickel Creek and Grace Potter.
Jackson and Long have collaborated for her live performances. He did the sound for Jackson’s performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in 2022, which he confirmed on his Instagram. Long then did the mixing for Jackson’s Bottlerock performance in May 2023. He also reportedly recorded Jackson’s vocals for “Blue Moon” (via People).
