Tucker DeVries has sustained an upper-body injury, as confirmed by West Virginia University.
The news comes after Darian DeVries, who serves as the head coach for the Mountaineers men’s basketball team, confirmed his son’s medical condition in a public statement. The 49-year-old tactician conveyed, “After consulting with our team doctors and other medical professionals, they have ruled Tucker out indefinitely as he deals with an upper-body injury. We have a great bunch of guys in the locker room who I know will rally around him during his absence.”
DeVries’ comments confirm that Tucker will spend an indefinite period on the treatment table due to his injury. However, it is currently unknown as to how the 22-year-old athlete suffered from the injury in the first place.
