To play Wordle, players need to enter one five-letter word and are given six guesses to find the word of the day. After each guess, the game informs in different ways how close the players are to correctly answering that day’s secret word:
- Letters in the correct position are marked green.
- Letters that are part of the word but in incorrect positions are highlighted in yellow.
- Letters that are not a part of the secret word are grayed out on the virtual keyboard.
