In 2013, the Glee actor opened up on their relationship with KiSS 92.5 and said, “We’ve been together a long time. I didn’t know I was going to be on TV when we started dating.”

In January 2018, Criss popped the question to Swier, and the two got engaged. The couple exchanged wedding vows on February 16, 2019, in New Orleans.
