Netflix Horrors is a regular column in which Shock Till You Drop alerts you to the latest genre titles to hit the VOD service. The updates have been fairly light this month, but we have a few new additions to tell you about. For previous updates, click here.
First up, we have The Taking of Deborah Logan, which literally debuted on VOD this week and doesn’t hit DVD until November 4th. Produced by Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and directed by Adam Robitel, the synopsis goes like this: Mia Medina (Michelle Ang) has finally found the perfect subject for her PhD thesis film on Alzheimers Disease. For the next several months, cameras will record the everyday life of mother Deborah Logan (Jill Larson) and her daughter Sarah (Anne Ramsay). But as the days progress, strange things begin to happen around Deborah that are not consistent with any findings about Alzheimers. It becomes apparent that theres something besides Alzheimers that has taken control of Deborahs life. Its an evil that is far worse than the debilitating disease with which she was first diagnosed.
Mine Games, starring Briana Evigan and Julianna Guill, has also been added. The film follows a group of young friends who make an incomprehensible discovery in an abandoned mine, but the more they try to change the future, the more they seal their fate.

And then there’s Witching & Bitching. When a bank heist in the city doesn’t all go according to plan, José and Tony find themselves in possession of some hostages and speeding through the mountains of Spain, hoping to quietly slip over the border. Not wanting to give up his custody days to his ex-wife, José has also brought his son along, for both the robbery and the ride. Little do they know that this is only the beginning of their troubles. When they decide to make a stop in a small tavern in the Basque countryside, the group encounters a series of local wackos. Falling victim to a mysterious spell, they soon find themselves the honored guests of a fractured family of witches who are preparing for an ancient ritual. More colorful characters begin to enter the picture, including a pair of hapless cops hot on the trail, a defecting vixen witch and José’s controlling ex-wife, and the situation spirals further out of control, heading towards a jaw-dropping climax.
