Variety reports Joe Anderson (Horns), Jessica Lowndes and Dayton Callie (Sons of Anarchy) are set to star in the film. Bousman previously worked with Lowndes and Callie on The Devil’s Carnival.
Abattoir centers on a Boston real-estate reporter who unearths an urban legend about someone who has spent decades buying homes where horrific tragedies have occurred and piecing them together, ultimately leading to the enigmatic Jebediah Crone and the answer to the terrifying question: How do you build a haunted house?
Chris Monfette penned the original script. David J. Schow and Teddy Tenenbaum did rewrites.
Shooting will take place in New Orleans.
