Dunki
Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2023, in India and on December 21, 2023, internationally. The film is based on an illegal immigration technique named, “Donkey Flight”. Dunki depicts the lives of people who choose to enter such nations using this illegal process and struggle to return home. The trailer for the film will release with Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, on Diwali.
Red Chillies Entertainment and Jio Studios are producing the film. Dunki has an ensemble cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, and Boman Irani. Other cast members of the film include Dharmendra, Satish Shah, Parikshit Sahni, and a cameo appearance by Vicky Kaushal.
Sam Bahadur
Meghna Gulzar directed Sam Bahadur is the next big project Vicky Kaushal will be starring in. The film sets its premise against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. It features Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who led the Indian Army from the front, which led to the creation of Bangladesh.
The film is scheduled for release on December 1, 2023, and will clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movie, Animal. Sam Bahadur stars Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Zeeshan Ayyub. Ronnie Screwvala will be producing the film under the banner of RSVP Movies.
The Chief of the Army Staff, Manoj Pande, released the official trailer for the film on November 7, 2023, at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi. The trailer for the film saw Vicky Kaushal as Sam Manekshaw, Sanya Malhotra as Sam Manekshaw’s wife, Sillo, and Fatima Sana Shaikh as Indira Gandhi.
Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam
Vicky Kaushal’s next big project for the new year will be Anand Tiwari’s Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam. The studio scheduled the film for a release on February 23, 2024. Due to delays in post-production, the studio announced the new release date for the film.
Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Neha Dhupia and Ammy Virk. The film marks the second collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Amanda Tiwari, who previously worked together on Love per Square Foot (2018).
Chaava
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chaava is a historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. He was the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire and ruled from 1681 to 1689. He was the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Dinesh Vijan will produce it alongside Sanjeev Mishra as executive producer.
As per reports, Vicky Kaushal will be starring as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Along with this, Rashmika Mandanna will star as Yesubai Bhonsale and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb.
