Actress Shruti Haasan seemingly has a long lineup of upcoming movies for next. The actress is currently gearing up for the release of her film Salaar, starring Prabhas. She also has an action drama in the pipeline with Telugu star Adivi Sesh. While the film was announced about a week ago, it was tentatively titled ‘SeshEXShruti.’ The makers recently revealed the film’s official title—Dacoit—along with a teaser.
This is the first time Shruti Haasan and Adivi Sesh will be co-leading in a movie. Earlier, the two shared the screenspace in the 2013 film Balupu, starring Ravi Teja. The upcoming film has been touted as an action drama, involving many gunfights.

As mentioned earlier, Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan’s awaited film has been titled Dacoit. The makers recently dropped its first teaser featuring the two stars. The two leads portray the role of ex-lovers who are now after each other’s lives because they point guns at one another. As it is, the action sequence hints at an intriguing plot. According to Pinkvilla, the film will follow their intense love story. After separating, they come together to pull off a few robberies, which eventually changes their lives.

Dacoit’s synopsis on YouTube reads, “An explosion of guns and roses, betrayal and trust, and, above all, love and loss. An intense action drama with a beating heart.”
Shaneil Deo is making his directorial debut with the film after working as a cinematographer on various projects. Dacoit will be shot in both Telugu and Hindi. It will mark Adivi Sesh’s second Hindi cinematic venture after his 2022 hit film Major. Reportedly, Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang are co-producing the film under the banner of Annapurna Studios.
