After the enormous success of Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire, the Rebel Star Prabhas is now gearing up for his upcoming projects. Recently, on the occasion of Sankranti, director Maruthi revealed the title of Prabhas’ upcoming film, The Raja Saab. Besides this, director Prashanth Neel is also featuring Prabhas in his upcoming project, Salaar 2. Amid this, rumors emerged that both projects, overriding each other, will cause uncertainty about the release date of The Raja Saab.
The Raja Saab is a romantic horror film directed by Maruthi and produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla. With a budget of $12 million, the film is produced under the banner of People Media Factory. The film features Prabhas as a protagonist alongside Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Malavika Mohanan. However, the makers have not yet confirmed the release date.
On the other hand, Salaar Part 2 will be made under the direction of Prashanth Neel. In addition, Salaar Part 1 has made over $84.1 million at the box-office collection. Salaar’s makers have also not revealed the release date yet.
Prabhas Salaar 2 release likely to delay Raja Saab
Both projects, The Raja Saab and Salaar Part 2, are still under development. Meanwhile, recent rumors suggest that Prabhas has two choices regarding both films. If Prashanth Neel initiates the Salaar 2 project and concludes within this year, then The Raja Saab’s release will be pushed to 2025.
However, if Prashanth requires additional time for the production of Salaar 2, then The Raja Saab will be released sometime this year. Overall, the release of Maruthi’s film relies upon the production of Prashanth Neel’s film.
Aside from this, Prabhas is waiting for his next release, titled Kalki 2898 AD, scheduled for May 9, 2024. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film features Prabhas alongside Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Pasupathy, and Saswata Chatterjee in supporting roles. This film is produced under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies.
Overall, if rumors stand true, then it will be intriguing to see which movie will first hit the big screens by the end of this year.
