With the ongoing success of Fighter, Hrithik Roshan shared an interesting update on his upcoming movie, War 2.
In 2023, Yash Raj Films announced War 2, and they scheduled the movie for release on August 14, 2025. Ayan Mukerji will be directing War 2, and reportedly, N. T. Rama Rao Jr. (Jr. NTR) and Kiara Advani will also star in the movie. It will be the sixth installment in the YRF Spy universe. War 2 will follow the events after what transpired in Tiger 3 and will reportedly form the backdrop for Tiger vs Pathaan.

War 2: Hrithik Roshan plans to show Kabir in a different light
In the interview, Hrithik Roshan talked about Fighter, his approach towards films, and his analysis of success and failure. He also shared an update on War 2. The end credits of Tiger 3 showed a glimpse of his character, Kabir. He said, “Kabir has definitely left a mark. And getting into Kabir’s boots is going to be fun because this time, my challenge is to show Kabir in a different light. A different aspect of him which is going to be interesting.”
War was the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2019, with a total collection of $67 million at the worldwide box office. He further expressed, “The biggest validation is box office numbers; Specially when you are making a film that is aimed at entertaining that section of audience that gets in the numbers.”
Hrithik Roshan’s latest and highly anticipated movie, Fighter, has managed to collect over $14 million in India and has grossed just under $24 million in its extended first weekend. The movie is now making its way towards impressive numbers worldwide.
