Telugu star Nani indeed spread his charm among the viewers with his latest film, Hi Nanna. The movie also saw Mrunal Thakur playing the leading lady and putting a spell on her fans with her talent. Their chemistry, the film’s plot, emotions, and much more were lauded throughout its theatrical run. Now, as the film has been available for digital streaming for over a month, it is unstoppable. It has been on the Netflix trending chart since its debut.
Hi Nanna was officially released in theaters on December 7, 2023. The movie faced Nithiin’s Extra Ordinary Man at the box office but immediately took the lead. It had a decent run at the box office and minted millions. As per Sacnilk.com, the film’s worldwide box-office collection reached $8.79 million (approx.). The movie allegedly did well in the overseas market. Its makers did not leave any stone unturned in promoting the film in the US.
Hi Nanna trending on Netflix after a month of its digital release
After almost a month of its theatrical release, Hi Nanna arrived on Netflix on January 4. It had its digital release in five languages – Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. After over four weeks of its digital run, the film’s Hindi version, titled Hi Papa, is currently trending at number 7. On the other hand, its Telugu version is in the 10th position.
Hi Nanna revolves around a doting father who strives to give the best life to his daughter. However, all his daughter wants is for him to tell her about her mother. Their lives take a dramatic turn when they befriend a beautiful woman, and the father reveals the story of his wife. The drama and emotions increase when the woman is getting married to a different man.
Shouryuv directed the film, while Vyra Entertainments bankrolled it. Baby Kiara Khanna, Angad Bedi, Jayaram, and others played supporting roles in the film.
