Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal indeed roared at the box office and earned millions. The film saw Ranbir Kapoor play the lead role and Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady. While the film minted a whopping amount, it faced many controversies and criticism. However, the makers and cast of the film have been defending it in various interviews. Recently, a report claimed that Rashmika has hiked her fee following the success of Animal. But, before the report made rounds on the internet, the actress herself dismissed it.
Rashmika Mandanna is among the leading actresses in India. After making her debut with Kannada cinema, she also explored Telugu and Hindi cinema. She has made a name for herself with her phenomenal talent. However, her role in Animal particularly raised many eyebrows. While some praised her, others found it problematic. Yet, the Pushpa actress is proud of her work and has said so in several interviews.
Rashmika Mandanna on fee hike after Animal
On Tuesday, February 6, a report claimed that Rashmika Mandanna has raised her fee per movie following the success of Animal. The report alleged that the actress would charge $481.6K to $541.8K per movie. The report seemed to reach Rashmika very soon, and she dismissed it with a sarcastic comment.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Animal star sarcastically wrote that she should consider raising her fee. She wrote, “Says who I wonder… after seeing all of this I think I should actually consider it.. and if my producers ask why… then I’ll just say ‘media out there is saying this sir.. and I think I should live up to their words.. what do I do?’”
On the work front, Rashmika is gearing up for the upcoming film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film is the official sequel to the 2021 movie Pushpa: The Rise.
