Director Prasanth Varma’s latest superhero film, HanuMan, came out to be a massive blockbuster. The movie was released on January 12, ahead of Sankranti, and was very well received by the audience. Netizens were pleased with the film’s fantasy theme, perfectly blended with mythology. The movie is currently in theaters and witnessing a dream run. As it recently reached a new milestone, the director thanked the audience for showering him with love.
Teja Sajja played the lead role of Hanumanthu in HanuMan. Apart from him, the film saw Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, Vennela Kishore, and more in key roles. Primeshow Entertainment bankrolled the film, which marks the first instalment of Prasanth Varma’s Cinematic Universe.
HanuMan’s plot revolves around Hanumanthu, a common man from a fictional place called Anjanadri. As Haumanthu accidentally gains the powers of Lord Hanuman, he uses them to save the people of his village. However, he has to face Michael, who is after the powers.

HanuMan is indeed having a dream run at the box office. Despite facing tough competition from Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, it did not take time for the film to take the lead. As a result, the film has reached a new milestone after 25 days of its release. Prasanth Varma recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to reveal that the film has earned a whopping $36.1 million.
Moreover, he penned a heartwarming note to thank the audience for their love. He wrote, “Can’t thank the audience more for such a humongous response all over the globe! Grateful to every family who embraced #HanuMan with all their heart & watched it in repeats.”
After over a month of release, the film will soon have its digital debut. Reportedly, HanuMan OTT release date is March 2. It will arrive on Zee5.
