Sri Gowri Priya‘s romantic drama, True Lover, is gearing up for its OTT release shortly after its theatrical premiere this month.
Directed and written by Prabhuram Vyas, alongside producers Nazareth Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan. It also stars Manikandan K, Kanaa Ravi, Harish Nagalakshmi, Saravanan, Geetha Kailasam, Harini Sundararajan. The movie had its theatrical release in Tamil on February 9, 2024 and Telugu on February 11, 2024.
The Telugu movie revolves around Arun and Divya, who have been in love since their college days. However, Arun can’t see Divya close talk with someone else. Arun’s behaviour starts drifting them apart, making Divya break up with him several times. The music for the movie was composed by the talented Sean Roldan.

Telugu movie True Lover likely to release on March 8, 2024 on Disney+ Hotstar
As per reports, Disney+ Hotstar has bought the digital rights of True Lover. The movie will reportedly premiere on March 8, 2024 on the platform, four weeks after its theatrical release. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement.
Along with this, Telugu language channel, Star Maa, also acquired the movie’s satellite rights. Th announcement for the same was prominently displayed during the opening credits of the movie. However, True Lover’s OTT release is not a surprise as South Indian movies are widely known to follow a gap of four weeks from theatrical release to OTT release.
While True Lover garnered a good response at the box office, it is not having a great run. The audience believes that the movie is a better fit for OTT than the theatre. In both languages, the movie witnessed an impressive start at the Box Office, collecting over $216K by the end of its first two days in the theatres.
