Manjummel Boys is based on the incident in Guna Caves of Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, in 2006. A group of boys from Kerala visited the caves and entered the danger zone. While carving their group’s name in the caves, one of the friends accidentally falls into the caves. When his friends do not find any help to save him, one of them ties himself to a rope and goes down the caves. He successfully rescues him and receives a bravery award.
Chidambaram has directed the film, while Soubin Shahir bankrolled it under his Parava Films banner. Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Ganapathi, Lal Jr., Deepak Parambol, Khalid Rahman, and others played key roles in the movie.

Manjummel Boys has left trade analysts shocked with its impressive collection so far. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie minted over $1 million net in India on Day 18. Evidently, the movie is unstoppable and has already reached several milestones.
So far, the film’s total box office net collection in India has reached $10.44 million. Manjummel Boys’ worldwide box office collection has reached $19.06 million.
The film is expected to surpass the previously hit survival drama 2018 starring Tovino Thomas.
Moreover, those who did not catch the movie in the theater will allegedly be able to watch it soon on an OTT platform. Its OTT release is expected to take place on Disney plus Hotstar in April.
