Netflix India is gearing up to roll out some of the most anticipated movies and web series this year. The streaming giant unveiled its 2024 lineup, Netflix: Blockbuster Entertainment Ka Next Level, at an event. From Taapsee Pasnnu’s Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Netflix has an array of movies and series for its audience.
Here’s a look at the much-awaited Hindi movies and web series releasing in 2024 on Netflix:
Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba

Taapsee Pannu‘s highly-anticipated movie, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, dropped its teaser trailer earlier this month, offering a glimpse into the thriller. The film also stars Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill in pivotal roles.
Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is a sequel to the 2021 romantic thriller Hasseen Dillruba. The film is helmed by Jayprad Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon. Colour Yellow Productions, T-Series, and Eros International produce it. The release date for Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is yet to be announced.
Amar Singh Chamkila

Amar Singh Chamkila stars Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. Helmed by Imtiaz Ali, the film is based on the life of Punjabi pop star duo Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur. Their songs were massive hits in the 1980s.
However, Amar’s brash lyrics ruffled feathers in Punjab. He battled success and brutal criticism for his music before his untimely death. The film is slated to release on April 12, 2024. Netflix announced the release date for the movie in February 2024.
Vijay 69

Anupam Kher’s upcoming movie, Vijay 69, is about a man who decides to compete in a triathlon at the age of 69. Directed and written by Akshay Roy, YRF Entertainment produced the movie. The makers are yet to announce the release date and cast.
On February 29, 2024 Netflix announced the movie along with a poster. They captioned the post with, “On your marks. Sometimes life really is a race- and Vijay is here to win it. Vijay 69 is coming soon, only on Netflix! #Vijay69 #Vijay69OnNetflix #NextOnNetflixIndia”
Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar

Out of the lineup, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is the most-awaited series on Netflix. The upcoming period drama boasts a stellar cast of Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, Adhyayan Suman, and Taha Shah.
Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is about the lives of tawaifs in the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore. The series is set during the Indian independence movement against the British Raj. The official release date for the series is yet to be announced.
Dabba Cartel

Shabana Azmi’s upcoming series, Dabba Cartel, is directed by Hitesh Bhatia. It also stars Jyotika, Shalini Pandey, Nimisha Sajayan, Anjali Anand, Gajraj Rao, Sai Tamhankar, Lillete Dubey, Jisshu Sengupta, and Bhupendra Jadaw. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani’s Excel Entertainment produced the series.
Dabba Cartel revolves around the lives of five ordinary housewives who go down a rabbit hole and run a high-stakes secret cartel through their dabba delivery business. The series boasts style, ambition, love, friendship, and betrayal, all set in the rich 1960s Mumbai.
