Fans of the 2017 thriller-romance drama Strong Woman Do Bong-soon are in for a special treat with the upcoming episode of its spin-off, Strong Girl Nam-soon. The lead couple, Park Hyung-sik and Park Bo-young played a memorable role in making the drama iconic, in addition to its captivating storyline.
After six years, the actors will return on episode 3 of Strong Girl Nam-soon. The episode will be released on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:30 p.m. KST on JTBC. Moreover, the series will be available for streaming on Netflix.
The Korean drama Strong Girl Nam-soon focuses on the story of three generations of women with powers. The plot centres around drug-related crimes in Seoul’s Gangnam district. It also documentts the journey of the youngest in the family, Gang Nam-soon (Lee Yoo-mi), who travels from Mongolia to Gangnam to search for her missing parents.
What to expect from Park Hyung Sik, Park Bo Young’s cameos in Strong Girl Nam-soon episode 3?
JBTC has recently released stills from the upcoming episode, featuring the Bongbong and Minmin couple (referring to Park Hyung-sik and Park Bo-young’s characters on Strong Woman Do Bong-soon). The photos show Ahn Min-hyuk (Hyung-sik) barging in while Bong-soon (Bo-young) is being investigated at a police station.
In the next photo, the chemistry between the couple is apparent as Min-hyuk is seen caressing Bong-soon while she looks at him adoringly. The audience will also witness the couple’s interaction with one of the cast members. In addition, they will meet Gil Joong-gan (Kim Hae-sook), the matriarch who enters the police station with confidence and elegance. Gil Joong-gan is seen lending her support to Bong-soon, who looks terrified alongside Min-hyuk.
After a long wait, fans can finally see their favorite on-screen couple in these new photos.
The production team asked fans to look forward to the reunion. They said, “The special appearance of Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik, who kicked off the Strong Girl series, is meaningful. The return of the strong couple Do Bong Soon and Ahn Min Hyuk will showcase exciting chemistry. Strong Girl Nam-soon episode 3 will see the family’s power grow stronger with the arrival of Bong-soon. As seen in the preview for the upcoming episode, Nam-soon, Bong-soon’s second cousin, will do everything she can to find her family while resolving conflicts. Meanwhile, Nam-soon’s mother, Hwang Geum-joo (Kim Jung-eun), is on her own mission. She too will be investigating a crime while searching for her daughter.
