Rowoon’s The Matchmakers Episode 3 Recap & Spoilers: Jung-Woo, Joo-Daek’s Joint Matchmaking Mission Gets a Rocky Start

The Matchmakers episode 3 is out! Starring Rowoon and Cho Yi-Hyun, the latest installment features their characters, Sim Jung-Woo and Yeo Joo-Daek, working together on a difficult matchmaking case.

In the first two episodes, viewers saw the King sparing his son-in-law Jung-Woo’s life on one condition. He ordered the widower to find matches for three sisters who had crossed their primal age of marriage. Jung-Woo sought the town’s best matchmaker Yeo Joo-Deok’s help despite their bitter encounters.

In The Matchmakers, Jung-Woo (Rowoon) is the King’s son-in-law who became a young widower after the princess died during the wedding ceremony. Joo-Daek (Yi-Hyun), on the other hand, leads dual lives — one as a matchmaker and another as the widowed daughter-in-law of the first vice-premier.

The Matchmakers Episode 3 ending explained: Why is Cho Yi-Hyun disappointed with Rowoon?

The Matchmakers Episode 3, starring Rowoon and Cho Yi-Hyun, begins with Jung-Woo and Joo-Daek signing a contract for a matchmaking mission. Rumors around the three daughters of Master Maeng have made it difficult for them to find matches. On top of that, the first two sisters are against marriage.

Jung-Woo and Joo-Daek figure out a plan with the help of the third sister who is willing to get married. The two matchmakers visit the sisters’ house to convince their mother. At first, they receive a cold treatment. Things change when the third sister appears and the matchmakers begin with their plan.

Jung-Woo and Joo-Daek finally convince the family but a sudden arrest warrant ruins everything. The Defense Minister gives order to arrest the three sisters’ blind mother after she refuses to offer her eldest daughter as his mistress. The episode ends with Jung-Woo being satisfied with the order while Joo-Daek gets angry at his reaction.

She snaps, “I am very disappointed in you, Sir!” Joo-Daek further states that she would like to end her contract with him because he didn’t listen to her. Apart from the matchmaking case, Episode 3 also shows Jung-Woo obsessing over a poison that he thinks may have killed the princess.

Viewers can watch the latest episode on Viki. Meanwhile, The Matchmakers Episode 4 will air on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 9:45 p.m. KST on KBS.
