The ending of the fourth episode of Night Has Come hints that the students will execute either Park Woo-Ram or Go Gyeong-Joon as the mafia in Episode 5. As expected the new episode shows that the majority of the students end up choosing Park Woo-Ram as the mafia and he dies. In the previous episodes of the series, whenever the students vote out someone as the mafia, they always turn out to be not the real mafia. However, in a shocking turn of events, the episode also discloses that Park Woo-Ram is the real mafia.

Episode 5 of Night Has Come reveals Park Woo Ram as the mafia

Night Has Come episode 5 begins right where the preceding episode ends. The students are divided into two groups. One group, including the lead characters Lee Yoon-Seo and Kim Joon-Hee wants to vote out Go Gyeong-Joon as the mafia. Meanwhile, the other group of students want to cast a vote against Park Woo-Ram and execute him.

The Night Has Come episode 5 takes quite a gruesome turn when Go Gyeong-Joon takes Park Woo-Ram hostage and ties him up to torture him. Gyeong-Joon firmly believes that he is the real mafia. Hence he tortures him in brutal ways to make him admit that he is the mafia. Soon, Woo-Ram fails to endure the torture any longer and gives up. He declares himself as the mafia from the broadcast room of the building.

As soon as the remaining students hear the announcement, they cast votes against Park Woo-Ram as the mafia. When a highly injured Woo-Ram sees that he has been voted as the mafia by the students, he goes into a frenzy and tries to kill Gyeong-Joon with an axe. When he is about to hit Gyeong-Joon with the axe on the head, midnight strikes and the real-life mafia game takes over him. He ends up killing himself with the axe.

Yoon-Seo finds a mysterious photograph in Episode 5

Throughout the previous four episodes of Night Has Come the audience sees that whenever a student is voted as the mafia. That is not the case in reality. However, this time, it turns out that Park Woo-Ram was the real mafia in the game. After this revelation, the students rush to get into rooms and lock the doors. Just like every time they fall asleep.

Another big highlight of the episode is Lee Yoon-Seo finding an old photograph of a group of students in the building’s mysterious basement. She believes them to be their seniors from school. In the photograph, the faces of all the students except for one are scratched out. Only one girl’s face is still there in the picture. Yoon-Seo also believes that the ghost she has seen in the building is none other than that girl’s ghost.
