Soundtrack #2 Episodes 3 & 4 Recap & Spoilers: Keum Sae-Rok, Noh Sang-Hyun Rekindle Past Romance

Disney Plus K-drama Soundtrack #2 aired episodes 3 and 4 on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 5 p.m. KST. The series follows the story of two ex-lovers, Ji Soo-Ho (Noh Sang-Kyun/Steve Noh) and Do Hyun-Seo (Keum Sae-Rok), reuniting eight years after their breakup and rekindling their romance. The drama is the second installment of the 2022 series Soundtrack #1, starring Park Hyung-Sik and Han So-Hee.

In Soundtrack #2 episodes 3 and 4, both Soo-Ho and Hyun-Seo reflected on their breakup and put forth their points of view. Eventually, the duo rekindled their romance by the end of this week’s episodes. However, viewers will have to wait and see if they give their relationship another chance. With the appearance of K (DEMIAN) and his confession to Hyun-Seo, the latter still has a choice to make between the two men.

Keum Sae-Rok & Noh Sang-Hyun revisit their breakup in Soundtrack #2 Episodes 3 & 4

Episode 3 of Soundtrack #2 begins with Soo-Ho, Hyun-Seo, and K gathered at the former’s house. Picking up from where the previous episode left off, Hyun-Seo declines the offer to work with K on Soo-Ho’s project. They continue to work on the song they had initially decided when Soo-Ho starts to get jealous of Hyun-Seo and K’s growing closeness. That night, K calls Hyun-Seo out for drinks when she decides to work with him as a final farewell to her piano passion.

After discovering Hyun-Seo and K were together, Soo-Ho gets jealous and proposes that the three of them should live together in his house until they complete the project. Meanwhile, Soo-Ho continues to battle his medical diagnosis. Hyun-Seo’s friend warns her not to get back with Soo-Ho after the heartbreak last time, but she assures the latter that it won’t happen.

The following day, Soo-Ho accompanies K and Hyun-Seo everywhere they go because he is jealous. When they have lunch together, he notices a mark on Hyun-Seo’s wrist. Without revealing details about his past relationship, Soo-Ho explains he wanted to prove his worth to his ex by being successful. A flashback scene showcases differences in Hyun-Seo’s and Soo-Ho’s perspectives towards their respective careers.

At night, both Soo-Ho and Hyun-Seo take a walk outside when he asks her about the mark on her wrist. She reveals it was due to a piano-related surgery. This eventually became the reason she couldn’t join him on the trip and their subsequent breakup. The two argue about their current life situations. Soo-Ho thinks she’s only in the project because of money, while Hyun-Seo feels he is undermining her just because he is successful.

Episode 4 shows how K and Hyun-Seo opt to go out and buy LP records the following day. Initially, Soo-Ho declines to join them, giving the excuse for an appointment. But after his friend wreaks havoc, he offers to drop them in his car. At the store, he joins them, stating that his appointment got cancelled. Later, he almost faints due to his health issues, making Hyun-Seo worried.

The latter could not stop thinking about his health condition while trying to sell her piano. At night, she joins Soo-Ho for a cup of coffee but gives him milk instead. The two share some laughs and look for filming locations with K the next day. Both Hyun-Seo and K get a practice shoot at the desired location, but Soo-Ho only captures Hyun-Seo in a camera.

At the location, K asks how long they had been together. Hyun-Seo apologizes for not telling him sooner, but K is glad that nothing is going on between them. He confesses his love for Hyun-Seo (this comes in the bonus track video at the end of the episode). K stops in the middle for his part-time job on their way back.

Hyun-Seo unpacks her bag and plans to return home. Eventually, Soo-Ho calls his friend and accompanies her to her part-time job. The two take a walk together back to her home when it starts raining. Hyun-Seo offers to let him stay in his house for an hour, but they end up spending more time.

By the end of the episode, the two end up playing piano when Soo-Ho confesses that he had wanted to hurt her after their breakup. But now that they met, he can’t because of how much he missed her. The two share a kiss and an embrace at the end.

To see how it all unfolds next, watch Soundtrack #2 episodes 5 and 6 on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 5 p.m. KST on Disney Plus.
