Lee Dong-Wook & Kim Hye-Jun’s A Shop for Killers: Season 2 in the works

A Shop for Killers Season 1 ended with Jeong Ji-An successfully battling all her uncle’s enemies, except Bale (Jo Han-Sun). She not only managed to protect the shopping mall but also took charge of it like her uncle wanted to. By the end of the series, a bruised Jeong Jin-Man returned home. The episode left viewers wondering how Jin-Man had returned after being presumed dead. Moreover, Bale’s disappearance in the final episode also left the plot unclear.

The final episode, aired on February 7, 2024, left viewers wanting and demanding a second season. It looks like their wishes might soon come true. Disney Plus held a press conference on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, revealing their 2024 line-up. Local content in-charge Shin Ah-Reum acknowledged the popularity of the series and said (originally in Korean), “As expected, many people want season 2 after the show ends, so we are currently discussing it closely.”

Stating the reason for the K-drama’s popularity, Shin Ah-Reum said, “It is a structure where the present and the past intersect and secrets are revealed gradually. It is an attractive piece of storytelling that is not easily seen in Korean content. The stylishly implemented actions for each character were greatly loved.”

The in-charge stressed that the series “opened the door to the successful launch of Disney+ in 2024.”

Meanwhile, A Shop for Killers Season 1 is available to stream on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for more updates about Season 2.
