New Dare to Love Me Trailer Focuses on Kim Myung-Soo’s Courteous Behavior

KBS’ upcoming K-drama Dare to Love Me unveiled a preview of the first episode ahead of its release. Featuring Kim Myung-Soo and Lee Yoo-Young in the lead roles, the series is reported to be a rom-com drama. Based on Sun Woo’s webtoon of the same name, Dare to Love Me is all set to premiere on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 10:10 p.m. KST on the network.

The story revolves around a young man, Shin Yoon-Bok (Kim Myung-Soo), who believes in Confucian values in the 20th century. He knows the millennials and Gen Z linguals but wants to keep his belief in the Joseon era. Although he runs away to become a webtoon writer, his life takes a dramatic turn after he meets Kim Hong-Do (Lee Yoo-Young), a strong and independent woman.

Dare To Love Me unveils trailer highlighting Kim Myung-Soo’s character details

KBS dropped a new Dare to Love Me trailer on their official Instagram account. The clip opens with Shin Yoon-Bok wearing a hanbok (a traditional Joseon-era outfit) and dealing with a group of thugs. As he talks to them, Yoon-Bok retains his politeness and courteous behavior. However, he soon walks up to the main gate and closes it, hinting at the next fighting sequence.

Prior to Dare to Love Me’s release, the show piqued the curiosity of several avid K-drama viewers. The primary focus of the series will be on Shin Yoon-Bok’s life as he diligently follows Confucian values and holds respect for the elders.

Even though he is intelligent and well behaved, he often finds it difficult to make emotional connections with people. This is why he tends to maintain a certain distance from human interaction. However, his life will change after meeting the ambitious Kim Hong-Do.

Watch Dare to Love Me on May 13, 2024, at 10:10 p.m. KST on KBS.
