Lee Je-Hoon’s Chief Detective 1958 Episodes 9 & 10 Release Date & Trailer Revealed on MBC

Chief Detective 1958 episodes 9 and 10 are set to air in May 2024 on MBC and Disney Plus. Starring Lee Je-Hoon as Park Young-Han, the K-drama is about a team of unlikely detectives fighting against corruption and crime.

In the previous episode, Young-Han and his Unit 1 team, including Kim Sang-Soon (Lee Dong-Hwi), Cho Kyung-Hwan (Choi Woo-Sung), and Seo Ho-Jeong (Yoon Hyun-Soo), solve another corruption-related case. Later, Hae-Joo (Seo Eun-Soo) reveals that she’s pregnant, leaving Young-Han extremely happy. The episodes ended on a cliffhanger, featuring clothes stained with blood with the “Dongsan Textile” label.

The trailer of the upcoming episode 9 focuses on a missing case of a girl. The incident may connect to the kids of optical leaders.

Chief Detective 1958 episode 9 will air on Friday, May 17, 2024, and episode 10 on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 9.50 p.m. KST on MBC. The K-drama is also available to stream on Disney Plus.

The upcoming episode’s trailer begins with Nan-Sil informing the Unit 1 team that a girl has gone missing. Someone shouts at the police station, asking, “What on earth do you do to your workers?” Later, a woman gives evidence to Young-Han and the team, pointing at the elite society. It seems the missing case is related to the kids of the rich political leaders.

When Young-Han brings in one of the rich kids for questioning, his superior, Baek Do-Seok, will release the alleged culprit. Angry, Young-Han raises his voice and asks Do-Seok, “In what world does a cop help out a suspect?” Simultaneously, the trailer shows Do-Seok trying to flatter the elite group of kids. Only time will tell if Young-Han can catch the culprits.
