Black Out K-drama cast: Kim Bo-Ra, Byun Yo-Han & more play pivotal roles

The upcoming MBC K-drama Black Out follows the journey of Go Jeong-Woo (Byun Yo-Han), whose life suddenly takes a traumatic turn. He is a 19-year-old high school student who becomes a murderer overnight when he gets arrested for allegedly murdering two female students in his class. However, he doesn’t remember anything about the incident. After serving 10 years in prison, he returns to his hometown to start over. However, he encounters strange occurrences around him.

Meanwhile, Kim Bo-Ra plays Ha-Seol. She takes a leave of absence from medical school and travels around the country. At the time of the incident, she worked as a part-timer in a restaurant in the village. Kim Bo-Ra’s character will give a third-person perspective to the story as she witnesses the event unfold.

Go-Jun essays the role of Detective Noh Sang-Cheol, who is in charge of Jeong-Woo’s case. Sang-Cheol graduated at the top of the class from the police academy and worked as an elite detective. However, he gets demoted to a local police station when his fiancé gets brutally murdered ahead of their wedding day. This is where he stumbles upon Jeong-Woo’s case.

Lastly, Go Bo-Gyeol plays Choi Na-Gyeom, Jeong-Woo’s classmate. She has had a crush on Jeong-Woo for the longest time. She supports Jeong-Woo throughout this time in prison and also wishes for them to get together after his release.

The MBC K-drama Black Out will premiere in August 2024 and air every Friday and Saturday. Stay tuned for more updates about the series.
