Episode 5 of High School Return of a Gangster aired on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, on Wavve and TVING. In the episode, viewers see Song Yi Heon, aka Kim Deuk Pal (Yoon Chan Young) fighting with Kim Dong Soo (Won Tae Min) and the other gang members. It also shows Choi Se Kyung (Bong Jae Hyun) taking his father’s help to save Song Yi Heon.
High School Return of a Gangster episode 5 further sees Hong Jae Min’s friends turning against him after discovering that he has helped Song Yi Heon. Meanwhile, Choi Se Kyung’s father orders him to end his friendship with Yi Heon. However, he still decides to help with his studies. At the end of the episode, the audience sees Song Yi Heon taking Choi Se Kyung to the beach as he remembers that he has never been to one.
High School Return of a Gangster Episode 5: Yoon Chan Young and Bong Jae Hyun go to beach
Episode 5 of High School Return of a Gangster begins right where episode 4 ends. Kim Dong Soo (Won Tae Min) has abducted Song Yi Heon, aka Kim Deuk Pal (Yoon Chan Young). It is an order by Lee Mi Kyung (Hwang Bo Ra). Soon, Song Yi Heon gets into a physical fight with Dong Soo and the other gang members. He shows impressive fighting skills to the gang, which makes Dong Soo wonder who he is.
Yi Heon then goes on to have a serious conversation with Dong Soo where he tells him facts that only Kim Deuk Pal would know. It makes Dong Soo even more confused about his identity. He also lets him walk out of the place.
In the meantime, Hong Jae Min’s friends turn against him after learning that he has given information about Dong Soo’s gang to Song Yi Heon. They even try to take him to the gang for punishment. Jae Min somehow escapes and ends up meeting Choi Se Kyung (Bong Jae Hyun). He has seen Yi Heon getting kidnapped by the gang and wants to save him. Soon, Choi Se Kyung learns where the gang has taken Yi Heon from Jae Min.
Se Kyung then lures his father to that place so that he can save Yi Heon in episode 15 of High School Return of a Gangster. When they reach there, they see Yi Heon coming out of that place unharmed. But Se Kyung’s father decides to go inside and threaten Dong Soo to leave Yi Heon and his mother alone.
High School Return of a Gangster episode 5 then reveals that in exchange for helping Song Yi Heon, Choi Se Kyung’s father has asked him to end his friendship with him. Thus, he tells Yi Heon that he will be keeping his distance from him. Se Kyung even had to start a study group with another student to follow his father’s orders. However, he has become tired of his father’s control over him. He can no longer take it.
Towards the end of the episode, viewers see Se Kyung calling Yi Heon, aka Deuk Pal, to tell him that he is at the bridge from where Yi Heon jumped off earlier. Thus, Yi Heon, aka Deuk Pal, rushes there. He sees that Se Kyung has decided not to give up on his life yet. He then asks Se Kyung to come with him to a place he has never been before. The two then visit a beautiful beach. Episode 5 ends with the two of them enjoying their time at the beach freely.
