The Crash K-drama’s finale episode begins with the team looking into the case. A 17-year-old girl named Lee Seunga goes missing after a friend’s party. When Yeon-Ho interrogates her classmate, he learns the victim has no friends. Will the genius team be able to solve the case? Will the K-drama have a happy ending? Let’s find out.

Crash K-drama episode 12 recap: Did Lee Min-Ki & Kwak Sun-Young solve missing girl’s case?

In Crash K-drama episode 12, Captain Jung Chae-Man (Heo Sung-Tae) joins his former TCI team. Yeon-Ho and So-Hee brief him about Lee Seunga’s case. While introducing the team to the villagers, they learn that the village chief is busy impressing a selection committee. The committee will decide if the island should get ten billion won for tourism and development.

Yeon-Ho and So-Hee continue their investigation with the team and find CCTV footage. It shows a car with a broken headlight. The team checks all the vehicles in the village, but none match the given description. Finally, they find a name, a.k.a. the first suspect. Gi Hyung-Soo has a similar car and raises suspicions with how he answers Yeon-Ho’s questions.

Things get more difficult for Yeon-Ho and So-Hee when the village chief and her group protest against the investigation. The chief gets angry and constantly points out that their village is a peaceful and safe place. Later, Captain Chae-Min finds the village chief and her troupe suspicious.

The investigation directs the TCI team to Hyung-Soo’s cousin, Im Ji-Sook. It appears her brother has changed her car because it met with an accident. The damage to Ji-Sook’s vehicle resembles the one Yeon-Ho saw in the CCTV footage. While they interrogate her, the village chief, Hyung-Soo, and their friend barge into the police station. They argue with Yeon-Ho and his fellow cops before taking Ji-Sook out of the station.

The next day, Yeon-Ho gathers the villagers and announces that Lee Seunga must have died by suicide. This is something the village chief has been insisting on since the beginning. But Yeon-Ho also adds that he has found an earbud that will take the cops to the body, which may have another piece of the earbud.

At night, Yeon-Ho and So-Hee hide behind a tree and wait for the culprit to show up. Soon, the village chief and her group appear with shovels. Yeon-Ho comments that he has been expecting them to be the killers. However, he becomes shocked when his fellow inspector accompanies the group. All of them are arrested, followed by a flashback scene explaining the incident.

Then, the viewers of the Crash K-drama see that on the night of the accident, Lee Seunga and her friend, Armin, were walking on the side of the road when the village chief’s group hit them. Armin pushed Seunga out of the way and died on the spot. The group buried him and kept Seunga hostage. Captain Chae-Min saved Seunga, resulting in the team solving the missing girl’s case.

Crash K-drama ending: happy or sad ending?

Crash K-drama’s ending shows Chae-Min informing his team that he has resigned. However, the finale brings a piece of good news as the captain returns and reforms his TCI team.

Overall, the cop-crime K-drama ends on a happy note. If viewers expect a romantic angle between Lee Min-Ki and Kwak Sun-Young’s characters, they may be disappointed. However, the storyline hints at a spark between the two as Yeon-Ho drives So-Hee’s beloved car to pick up her father from the hospital.

Viewers can watch all 12 episodes of the Crash K-drama on Disney Plus.
