Popular K-drama Red Swan aired a brand new episode 4 on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 4 p.m. KST on Disney Plus. The series documents the journey of successful golfer Oh Wan-Soo (Kim Ha-Neul), who marries the conglomerate Hwain Group and heads a charitable foundation. She meets her bodyguard Seo Do-Yoon (Rain) and the two expose the dark and hidden secrets of the conglomerate together.
Episode 4 of Red Swan saw Oh Wan-Soo and Seo Do-Yoon work together and separately on their missions. While Oh Wan-Soo navigated challenges against her from the Hwain Group, Do-Yoon tried to find clues about the conglomerate’s late Chairman, Kim Duo, and friend Ju-Hyuk’s respective murders. Meanwhile, Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran played her own card, tormenting Wan-Soo in the end.

Red Swan K-drama Episode 4 began with Seo Do-Yoon secretly obtaining security footage of Hwain Group. He managed to escape Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran’s security, who informed him of Hwain Group heir Kim Yong-Guk ordering to meet him. Yong-Guk asked Do-Yoon not to meddle in affairs between him and his wife, Oh Wan-Soo. Meanwhile, Do-Yoon left with a resolve to bring the conglomerate down.
Back in his own room, he looked through the CCTV footage to see Yong-Guk giving his security Park Kyeong-Ju money, which the latter then gave the Manila gang. Meanwhile, Do-Yoon wondered about the money, as it was more than what would be required to hire someone to kill.
Oh Wan-Soo plots against Hwain Group
Oh Wan-Soo sat in her late son Chan-Hee’s room, ordering the in-house maid to lock the room. Meanwhile, Hwain Group Chairman Park Mi-Ran and her aide discussed having Wan-Soo resign as NOW Foundation director and replace her with her brother. However, the latter revealed the same to Wan-Soo, who devised a game plan. Wan-Soo asked her brother to tell the tabloids about her husband Yong-Guk having an illegitimate child.
As rumors about Yong-Guk and Jang Tae-Ra’s affair and their child spread, Tae-Ra requested Wan-Soo to organize an interview about the issue. Later, Wan-Soo asked Mi-Ran to reconsider her resignation and leave the foundation in her hands. But Mi-Ran asked Wan-Soo to lay low and keep her hands off the foundation. Later, Wan-Soo decided to organize a press conference.
While the press waited for her, Mi-Ran knowingly kept Wan-Soo busy by organizing their meeting with a minister. However, with the help of her bodyguard, Do-Yoon, Wan-Soo escaped the meeting and went to the press conference. When the reporters asked her to clarify the rumor, Wan-Soo revealed that the illegitimate child wasn’t her husband’s but of the late Chairman Kim Duo. Meanwhile, an infuriated Mi-Ran was at a loss for words.
When Wan-Soo met Mi-Ran, she asked the Chairwoman to stay away from the foundation. Mi-Ran warned her of dangerous consequences ahead.
Seo Do-Yoon and Oh Wan-Soo share secrets
After Oh Wan-Soo’s press conference, security head Park Kyeong-Ju confronts Do-Yoon for not informing him of the event and taking enough security to protect Wan-Soo. Meanwhile, Tae-Ra entered the Hwain Group residence along with her son Jun-Hee. Mi-Ran welcomes the two into the house while Wan-Soo calls her a “mistress.” She asked Tae-Ra to lay low inside the house and keep herself in the room allotted to her and her son.
At night, Wan-Soo headed out for a run accompanied by Do-Yoon. The latter wondered what Wan-Soo wanted to protect so passionately that she would risk her life. Wan-Soo told him about her interaction with the late Chairman Kim Duo when she scanned her hand on bank documents. The Chairman promised to reveal the details later, assigning her an important task. Furthermore, the Chairman requested she divorce Yong-Guk after the assignment was over.
Do-Yoon, for his part, revealed that the late Chairman was murdered by someone inside Hwain Group. He further suspected that the same person might now be targeting Wan-Soo. He told her about his chance encounters with the gang in Manila, who were planning to target her, and also told her about the police suspecting his late friend Ju-Hyuk’s murder investigations.
During a family dinner with her sister-in-law’s parents, Wan-Soo embarrassed Chairman Park Mi-Ran by not confirming the Chinese ambassadors’ deal to invest in duty-free shops. Wan-Soo agreed to get the FDA approval on the deal if Mi-Ran would leave her to run the NOW Foundation. The following day, Wan-Soo and Mi-Ran met for the opening ceremony of the NOW Welfare Center. However, the two wore the same clothes by chance, which left Mi-Ran shocked. The latter only saw it as an insult when it was a coincidence.

Park Mi-Ran shocks Wan-Soo with an update on her mother
After the opening ceremony, Wan-Soo met Mi-Ran to clarify the incident. However, the Chairwoman had another major update. Mi-Ran expressed how Wan-Soo hadn’t seen her mother in over a decade. She then revealed that Wan-Soo’s mother was fighting for her life in a psychiatric hospital. Wan-Soo grew emotional after seeing her mother’s pictures at the hospital.
At the end of the episode, Wan-Soo, her brother, and Do-Yoon went to the psychiatric hospital in a secluded city. Wan-Soo went inside with Do-Yoon after requesting to see her mother alone. As Do-Yoon waited outside, he heard Wan-Soo scream for her mother. The episode ended on a cliffhanger after Do-Yoon entered the room.
