Citizen Penn is directed by Don Hardy (Theory of Obscurity) and focuses on the humanitarian efforts of Sean Penn in Haiti after the country was struck by a  devastating 7.0 earthquake in 2010.

“Progress and Hope’ is exactly that. This film is very intense, at times emotionally overwhelming, but underneath the rubble lies hope,” said the former 4 Non Blondes frontwoman. “We witness Haiti in crisis. We follow the devastation through the fragments left standing in Port au-Prince. With the community and Core Response working together you can see the progress made and the spirit of hope rising.”

Perry’s score encapsulates the film’s larger-than-life drama and personalities, the endurance of human spirit, and unwavering all-hands-on-deck local community problem-solving in the aftermath of the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the humanitarian efforts of Sean Penn and a team of volunteers.
