It’s a quieter release for newer films with the vampire mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows leading the pack. To learn more about the indie comedy, be sure to check out our interview with star Jemaine Clement. This week also brings us the Western drama Wild Horses, starring Academy Award winner Robert Duvall, as well as the martial arts actioner Kung Fu Killer, starring Donnie Yen.
A peculiar direct-to-home video animated crossover feature arrives in the form of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Scooby-Doo and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery, while Kino delves into some horror cult classics with Madhouse, Black Sabbath and House of 1000 Dolls and Scream Factory delivers a special edition of the perfectly-peculiar 1989 horror thriller I, Madman.
The Criterion Collection this week adds Stephen Frears’ early comedy drama My Beautiful Laundrette, starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
On the small screen front, Seth Green’s popular Adult Swim series continues with the DVD-only release of Robot Chicken: Season Seven.
