Hitting this Wednesday the 24th, just in time for the long Thanksgiving weekend, Burlesque brings two iconic musical talents together for a larger than life take on song, dance and showmanship.
Christina Aguilera stars as Ali, a midwestern girl who dreams of Hollywood and, after risking it all and arriving in Los Angeles with nothing, winds up working as a waitress in nightclub called The Burlesque Lounge. Run by a woman named Tess (Cher), the place is dedicated to classic glitter and glam musical performances, but has fallen on hard times.
Befriending a bartender (Cam Gigandet), Ali winds up rubbing heads with a jealous headlining performer (Kristen Bell) and decides to do whatever it takes to move from the serving floor to the stage.
Also starring Stanley Tucci, Alan Cumming, Julianne Hough and Eric Dane, Burlesque aims for a modern take on classic showbiz musicals.
ComingSoon.net sat down with Aguilera, Gigandet, Dane and Hough to discuss the film, the choreography and what it was like performing alongside a musical legend like Cher.
