, we got the news that the big screen adaptation of Term Life was cancelled by Universal Pictures and the hunt for a new home had begun, and it didn’t take long. According to The Hollywood Reporter, QED International and Worldview have stepped in to finance and produce the film with star Vince Vaughn.
True Grit‘s Hailee Steinfeld will also star in the film which will be directed by Peter Billingsley from a script by the comic’s creator, A.J. Lieberman. Universal will still distribute the film domestically, and a 2014 start date is being planned. QED will sell the film’s international distribution at the upcoming American Film Market.
Published in 2011, the original action thriller was the creation of A.J. Lieberman and Nick Thornborrow and features the following official synopsis:
