The film stars French New Wave icon Jean-Pierre Léaud as a man that is attempting to forge a relationship with pop star Madeleine (Chantal Goya). Irma Vep

Another French film, this is Oliver Assayas’ breakthrough film starring Maggie Cheung as a movie star that arrives in Paris to star in a remake of Les vampires. Criterion says, “What she finds is a behind-the-scenes tangle of barely controlled chaos as egos clash, romantic attractions simmer, and an obsessive director (a cannily cast Jean-Pierre Léaud) drives himself to the brink to realize his vision.”
