IMAX had a busy week with Spiral impressing in its North American debut as it topped the domestic market.

The Saw reboot starring Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson brought in $1 million in North America in IMAX theaters. That resulted in almost 12% of the domestic take. The film also opened in 12 international markets such as Russia, South Korea, and Mexico. Overall, it brought in a global total of $1.2 million.
China once again had a busy week and had a legendary film in the top spot. The re-release of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King brought in $1.2 million from China, which raises this latest release of The Lord of the Rings trilogy to $7.5 million. Additionally, Cliffwalkers added in another $360,000, which takes its total to $9.5 million. IMAX accounts for 6.5% of Cliffwalkers‘ total.

Next week will be exciting as F9: The Fast Saga will release in select international markets. Markets getting to see the film early are China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Russia, and the Middle East.
