A new photo from the upcoming Uncharted movie shows our first official look at Mark Wahlberg’s Victor “Sully” Sullivan, and the character is missing his iconic mustache.

For those that haven’t played Naughty Dog’s video game series, Sully is the mentor of Nathan Drake, who will be played by Tom Holland. The adventure starring the two archaeological thieves will release on February 18, 2022.

It’s still possible that Wahlberg grows out the stache by the end of the film as the actor previously teased his character by wearing a fake mustache. If not, there’s always a potential sequel down the line.
For reference, here is how the duo looked in Uncharted 4 (although the movie iterations are clearly younger):
The upcoming film takes inspiration from both a sequence of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, in which young thief Nathan Drake (Holland) first meets future partner Victor Sullivan (Wahlberg), and the fourth installment in the game franchise, A Thief’s End, the film is helmed by Zombieland and Venom director Ruben Fleischer. The script is by the Men in Black: International duo Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins (The Wheel of Time) based on a story put together by the trio and previous director Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), Mark D. Walker, and John Hanley Rosenberg.
Travis Knight (Bumblebee) became the sixth director to leave the project in its decade-long development cycle which began with Russell attached to direct followed by Neil Burger (Limitless), Seth Gordon (Baywatch), Shawn Levy (Free Guy), and Trachtenberg.
Uncharted, which is an Arad/Atlas Entertainment Production and produced by Charles Roven, Avi Arad, and Alex Gartner, is set to hit theaters on February 18, 2022.
