The Suicide Squad director James Gunn gives us another peak of the DC Extended Universe film with a brand new image.
Shared on the director’s Instagram, the image capture reads, “Squad Undercover in Corto Maltese: Ratcatcher 2, The Thinker, Bloodsport, & Polka Dot Man in The Suicide Squad.” You can check out the picture for yourself below.

The last part of the caption refers to the characters played by Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Idris Elba, and David Dastmalchian respectively. The setting, Corto Maltese, is a fictional island from the DC universe. It has been referenced in a few DC-related properties such as Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Returns and in the CW show Arrow.
The Suicide Squad features a star-studded cast playing several fan-favorite and deep-cut characters from the ever-expanding DC comic book universe. Alongside the previously mentioned actors, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Taika Waititi, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, Alice Braga, Jai Courtney, John Cena, Viola Davis, Pete Davidson, Sean Gunn, Freddie Stroma, Mikaela Hoover, Jennifer Holland, Flula Borg, Steve Agee, Joaquín Cosio, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Mayling Ng, and Tinashe Kajese.

The standalone sequel to the Academy Award-winning Suicide Squad will be directed and written by Gunn. The Warner Bros. film will be produced DC Films, Atlas Entertainment, and The Safran Company.
The Suicide Squad is set to debut in theaters on August 6. It will also be available on the HBO Max streaming service for its first month of release.
