TriStar has plans to bring to the big screen The Yank, a new comedy set to star Will Ferrell, Deadline reports. The film is currently being scripted by Hot Tub Time Machine and About Last Night director Steve Pink and his writing partner, Jeff Morris.
The Yank will star Ferrell as an insurance courier who accidentally winds up part of a conspiracy to steal England’s Crown Jewels.
Ferrell, who already starred this year in both The LEGO Movie and in the television miniseries “The Spoils of Babylon,” can next be seen starring opposite Kevin Hart in the Warner. Bros. Pictures comedy Get Hard.
