According to a recent report by Collider, Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4, Inside Out) is currently writing the script for the film, with plot details being kept pretty under wraps at the moment. However, Johansson is set to produce the film via her These Pictures banner, alongside Jonathan Lia who will also join as producer.
Representatives for both Disney and Johansson had no comment when reached out to by Collider, as it seems that all parties involved are wanting to make sure no secrets are spilled. The upcoming film is set to be based on the popular Disney theme park attraction, which takes players up through a tower complete with scary narration before dropping them down in a free-falling elevator.

It’s unclear just how the company will turn a ride like Tower of Terror into a film, but it wouldn’t be the first time that Disney has taken a popular theme park attraction and turned it into a movie. Previously, Disney has turned the Pirates of the Caribbean ride into a huge franchise, and they’re also working on an upcoming film based around the Jungle Cruise attraction as well.
