Warner Bros. has updated their 2021 release schedule, pushing the highly-anticipated Dune back from October 1, 2021, to October 22, 2021. The movie, which will also be in 3D and IMAX, is now slated to open against Paramount Pictures’ Jackass 4, Focus Features’ Last Night in Soho, and 20th Century Studios’ Ron’s Gone Wrong.
Additionally, The Sopranos feature film prequel The Many Saints of Newark was pushed back by a week, moving from September 24, 2021, to October 1, 2021, where it will open against The Addams Family 2 and Sony’s Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Lastly, Clint Eastwood’s Cry Macho has moved up from October 22, 2021, to September 17, 2021, where it will open against Paramount’s Clifford the Big Red Dog, Searchlight Pictures’ The Eyes of Tammy Faye, and OpenRoad’s CopShop.

The Many Saints of Newark is the much-anticipated feature film prequel to the groundbreaking, award-winning HBO drama series The Sopranos. The film is set in the explosive era of the Newark riots, when rival gangsters began to rise up, challenging the all-powerful DiMeo crime family’s hold over the city.
Directed by Alan Taylor and written by David Chase and Lawrence Konner, the film stars Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll, Michael Gandolfini, Billy Magnussen, Michela De Rossi, John Magaro, with Ray Liotta, and Vera Farmiga.
Based on the book, Cry Macho stars Clint Eastwood as a one-time rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder who, in 1978, takes a job from an ex-boss to bring the man’s young son home and away from his alcoholic mom. Crossing rural Mexico on their back way to Texas, the unlikely pair faces an unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world-weary horseman may find his own sense of redemption through teaching the boy what it means to be a good man.

Directed by Eastwood and written by Nick Schenk and author N. Richard Nash, the movie also stars Eduardo Minett and Dwight Yoakam.
