The Deadpool actor revealed that Disney confirmed that they want a sequel to Free Guy. This was backed up by a retweet from 20th Century Studios and director Shawn Levy saying “Yup” in a quote tweet. The news comes just a day after the comedy was released in theaters and is headed toward a $26 million-plus box office for its opening weekend.
“After 3 years [of] messaging Free Guy as an original IP movie, Disney confirmed today they officially want a sequel. Woo hoo!” said Reynolds, who then hashtagged the word irony. “If it isn’t called Albuquerque Boiled Turkey we’ve failed.”
