Sony Pictures has officially changed the release date for Jason Reitman’s highly-anticipated sequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife, starring McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd. Originally slated for November 12 release, the horror comedy has been delayed by just one week, and is now scheduled to arrive in theaters on Friday, November 19, a date recently vacated by Paramount Pictures’ Top Gun: Maverick.
Its current theatrical release date will now see Ghostbusters: Afterlife going up against Warner Bros. Pictures’ Will Smith-led drama biopic King Richard. Due to the the ongoing pandemic, this actually marks the fifth time that the upcoming film has been delayed.
