Based on Aaron Blabey’s best-selling children’s book series, The Bad Guys will feature a star-studded voice line-up including Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf, Marc Maron as Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha, and Awkwafina as Ms. Tarantula. Joining them are Richard Ayoade, Zazie Beetz, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein.
“In the new action comedy from DreamWorks Animation, a crackerjack criminal crew of animal outlaws are about to attempt their most challenging con yet—becoming model citizens,” reads the synopsis. “Never have there been five friends as infamous as The Bad Guys—dashing pickpocket Mr. Wolf, seen-it-all safecracker Mr. Snake, chill master-of-disguise Mr. Shark, short-fused “muscle” Mr. Piranha, and sharp-tongued expert hacker Ms. Tarantula aka “Webs.” But when, after years of countless heists and being the world’s most-wanted villains, the gang is finally caught, Mr. Wolf brokers a deal (that he has no intention of keeping) to save them all from prison: The Bad Guys will go good.”

The Bad Guys is directed by Kung Fu Panda‘s Pierre Perifel in his directorial debut. Executive producers are Blabey, Etan Cohen, and Patrick Hughes, with Damon Ross, and Rebecca Huntley producing.
