This shouldn’t come as a shock as it has already earned a gross of over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight (via Deadline), Whiplash star Miles Teller opened up about the future of the franchise, confirming that he’s currently “having some conversations” with Tom Cruise about a potential Top Gun 3.
Teller has been enjoying some worldwide recognition lately for his portrayal of Rooster, who has been an instant fan favorite since the start. He went on to reveal that the development of Top Gun 3 will only be possible if Cruise wants it to happen.
“That [a sequel] would be great, but that’s all up to TC,” Teller said. “It’s all up to Tom.”
