The recently released Thor: Love and Thunder has a ton of deleted scenes that were left out of the full film. According to director Taika Waititi, though, they’ll likely never see the light of day.

Speaking to Insider, Waititi said that the scenes that were deleted were cut for a reason, and he doesn’t want fans to get their hopes up in getting to see them.
“I’m not going to give you a moment because this is my way of telling you, like, people say, ‘I can’t wait for the deleted scenes with those actors,'” said Waititi. “I don’t want people to see the deleted scenes because they’re deleted for a reason: They aren’t good enough. [Laughs.] The scenes were not in the movie and that’s it.”
Waititi also mentioned that the number of scenes left on the cutting room floor wasn’t abnormal for a regular movie, and mentioned that the actors involved in the cut scenes — Jeff Goldblum, Lena Headey, and Peter Dinklage — were all understanding in the scenes not making it.
Last month, actor Christian Bale, who plays Gorr the God Butcher in the film, revealed that both Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum were cut from the film and mentioned having shot a scene with each of them. A recent lawsuit even revealed that Lena Headey was also cut from the film. Unfortunately for fans, it seems unlikely those scenes will be available anytime soon, unless Marvel Studios chooses to release them later on.
