Reservoir Dogs Sets 4K Blu-ray Release for Crime Drama’s Anniversary

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Reservoir Dogs‘ theatrical release, Lionsgate has confirmed that the Quentin Tarantino-directed crime drama film will be debuting for the first time on 4K Blu-ray. It will be available in two 4K Blu-ray versions: the SteelBook and the regular edition, which will both launch on November 15. Special features will include deleted scenes and two featurettes titled “Playing it Fast and Loose” and “Profile Res Dogs.”

Reservoir Dogs was directed by Tarantino from a screenplay he co-wrote with Roger Avary. It starred Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Steve Buscemi, Harvey Keitel, Chris Penn, Edward Bunker, Kirk Baltz, Quentin Tarantino, and Lawrence Tierney.

“Frenzied, soaked in blood, and featuring gangsters both ruthless and engaging (who debate the deeper meanings of “Like a Virgin”), Reservoir Dogs — Quentin Tarantino’s debut film about a heist gone horribly wrong — attained iconic cult status upon its release in 1992 and launched the career of a director whose singular vision has influenced a generation of filmmakers,” reads the 4k Blu-ray’s synopsis. “To celebrate the movie’s 30th anniversary, the cocked-and-loaded world of Mr. White (Harvey Keitel), Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi), Mr. Orange (Tim Roth), and their 90s-cool cohorts makes its swaggering return in razor-sharp 4K”
